COMPANY HISTORY

CovX was founded in 2002 based on the research of Carlos Barbas, Ph.D. and Richard Lerner, M.D. at The Scripps Research Institute.

Since its founding, CovX has made advances toward building a portfolio of product candidates. We use our proprietary technology to rapidly discover and develop long-acting biological therapies. The CovX technology unites the therapeutic attractiveness of peptides with the beneficial properties of antibodies, resulting in a new biopharmaceutical called a CovX-Body.

The highly flexible nature of our technology enables us to identify high-value biological targets, efficiently create CovX-Bodies, and expeditiously move candidates to pre-clinical development and clinical evaluation.  Our lead program, CVX-045, is currently in Phase 1 based on an IND approval in January 22, 2007.  

The CovX team has collectively over 150 years of biotech, pharmaceutical and business experience. The team members have advanced dozens of projects into clinical development and contributed to the successful development and commercialization of more than 20 products.
